What Happens Once You Order: So, we have made it very easy:- Once you have gone through checkout and paid for your new sofa(s) very quickly your order status will change from 'Awaiting fulfillment' to 'Pending' which means your new suite is in the process of being picked from stock or the factory have your order to be made and the fabrics have been ordered to make your new sofa or suite. Once ready for delivery the status will change from 'pending' to 'awaiting shipment' which means you will receive a phone call asap to arrange a delivery date. You don't book in a delivery day when you order, we have tried this system which is popular on other web sites but it doesn't work, its just a clever way to get you through checkout and to get your money then they call you and arrange a different day! Here at The Sofa King deliveries are booked in by Sofa King staff, that way mistakes don't happen..

By using and purchasing from this website or in store you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
To be eligible to purchase Products on this website you must:
(a) Be capable of entering into binding contracts; and
(b) Be at least 18 years old.
(c) Provide your real name and contact details (including e-mail); and
(d) a valid delivery address in the United Kingdom (mainland only)
Payment The price of the Products will be the amount set out in the Order. Prices are liable to change at any time, but subsequent price changes will not affect the price for the Products stated in your Order at the time of placing your Order. All prices include VAT.
Payment can be made on line or in store by credit or debit card, bank transfer (details available upon request), Cash (In store Only) Or PayPal.
Availability All items are subject to stock availability if it says in stock then the sofas will have been made and are either here in our UK warehouse or on they are on their way from the manufacturers and can still be delivered to you within 28 working days, Ex display sofas are always ready to be delivered within 28 days and can also be collected. On the rare occasion of a delay then we will inform you as soon as possible if the item(s) you have ordered, may be delayed and offer you a refund which you will receive back the same method as you paid or we can offer you an alternative if you prefere. Sofas that are from the Royal English fabric collection take either 14 working days to make or 6 weeks to make depending on the factory (see individual listings it says 'hand made in 14 days or hand made in 6 weeks in the availability box) If you are ordering a 'custom made sofa' then the British manufacturers we use have regular annual holidays and all staff in the factory have the same time off, which can cause a delay of up to 10 days, the next factory closure is Whitsun Week (closed 28th May to the 4th of June) so if you order a hand made sofa(s) during these dates it will take up to 10 days longer to make.
Leather Here at The Sofa King we use the best quality top grain leather on the sofas marked top grain/cow hide leather, then if it says 100% all over then it has real leather ALL OVER back, sides and front etc otherwise its Cow Hide/top grain Leather on the main parts of the sofas and has a leather match to non wearing areas. We use 100% Leatherair on sofas marked ‘Leathgerair’ (Leatherair is actually a hard wearing fabric that replicates real leather, please don’t get leatherair confused with plastic cheap sofas. Leatherair is a fabric that is breathable, so helps during hot summers and cold winters, leatherair is 'rub tested' to the Max and proves as hard wearing as leather but no moo cows are killed.Then All other sofas inc the Rocky, Brisbane, Duo, Sienna, Tuscany, Lisbon, Roma, Ravello are made using quality bonded leather which is made by bonding man made materials with small leather off cuts, its then dyed and glued onto the backing all ready to withstand today’s hectic lifestyles. Warranties Our products are manufactured to the highest quality, the vast majority in the United Kingdom. Sofa King Sofas come with a full one year genuine manufacturers warranty from delivery except ex display items that come with a 14 day Sofa King guarantee. All other products sold in store or on line are warranted against manufacturing defects only, The Sofa King Ltd reserves the right not to apply the warranty in cases of inappropriate use or when the product has been tampered with by a third party or interventions by non-authorized personnel, all sofas have a weight limit which works out to no more than 18 stone per seat.the use of 'raisers' is not recommended and will void the manufactures warranty and clips/joining mechanisms on corner suites are not included in the manufacturers warranty,care must be used when moving corner suites once installed. All items sold are only suitable for domestic use only not commercial use and damage caused by belt buckles, shoes and jewelry would not be deemed a manufacturers fault.
Delivery. When we deliver your new item, all staff have to carry out a risk assessment prior to entering your home, so clear any hallways and obstructions, be nice to the delivery drivers they work very hard... We do our best to deliver within 28 working days if you order a stock sofa or if you order a sofa that is being custom made for you, so if it says 'hand made in 14 days we will deliver within 28 days of being hand made. If the listing says hand made in '6 weeks' you will be delivered too within 28 days of being made. If we foresee a delay we will contact you as soon as we know. Please 'bare' with us during the SALE we are working as hard as we can to get sofas delivered as fast as we can.
We are not liable for damage to your home, carpets, walls or doors or any breakages.
If you are paying the £40 for us to take away your old sofa(s) then we can only take away the same amount of items that we are delivering.
On the rare occasion due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to deliver on the day given, you will be contacted and given a different delivery day. This is rare but can be due to mechanical problems, illness or traffic due to accidents, any alternative delivery days will be within 21 days of the 1st delivery day.
We are only able to keep your sofa(s) for 12 weeks from the date you order. If the sofa(s) are not delivered or collected on or before 16 weeks then we will donate your sofas to a good cause and you will lose your money.
For customers that are outside our delivery area, If you ask us to deliver your sofas on a pallet it is to your front door only.

Cancelling your order You can cancel your order at any time up to 48 hours before delivery for a full refund unless you ordered a fabric sofa that is being hand made for you or a sofa from our ‘Royal English' collections, that say 'hand made in 14 days or hand made in 6 weeks’ so your new item is made especially for you, on these items that are hand made, if you cancel after you order you can be refunded but it will be minus 25% of the purchase price so only order if you are 100% and can wait for delivery.. Please e mail firstname.lastname@example.org stating you wish to cancel you order with your order number, name address and contact number and a reason which will help us with future orders. If we are keeping your sofas until you need them then we are unable to refund you after 16 weeks has elapsed.
Returning Goods On delivery If you ordered a 'stock' sofa than as long as the delivery men haven't already left your home, Simply ask them to take your sofa(s) away again if was not what you expected, we will then refund in full within 14 days UNLESS you ordered an ex display sofa Or a sofa or bed from our Royal English collection ie it was made exclusively for you, if this was the case then you can be refunded but minus 25%. This service is not available if you are outside our delivery area and ask for the sofas to be delivered on a pallet.
Returning goods after they have been delivered or if you collect or once the delivery men have already left your property:- Within 14 days of delivery we can come and collect the goods and you can be refunded minus 35% as we will not be able to re sell the item(s) as new, please e mail email@example.com stating you wish to return the items, we will collect within 21 days, you will be refunded within 14 days from the date we collect the sofas. If you have asked for your sofas to be delivered on a pallet then it is your responsibility to return the sofas to us at your cost (only applies to customers that are not within our delivery area, that still wanted to buy from us)
We do our best to make sure the measurements are perfect but they can vary by up to 1-10cm, we cannot accept returns if damaged by the delivery drivers unless they are noticed on the day of delivery. Sofas are obviously brand new, so if the seats feel harder than you expected once we have delivered, they are foam and or pocket sprung so will get softer with time.
We do our best to make sure prices are correct but mistakes happen we are only human, if a pricing error has uncured you will be notified within 24 hours of ordering and made aware of the mistake and refunded in full. We never intend to mislead our customers.
AFTER SALES INFO IN CASE OF AN ISSUE
On the rare occasion a fault arises with your new sofa, then don’t worry your covered with a 12 month manufactures guarantee*, please contact The Sofa King Ltd Via the e email below with ALL of the following information :-
Telephone numbers inc mobile,
Full address inc postcode,
The date purchased,
Your receipt/order number,
A full description of the fault,
Very important we need 2 photos of the item(s) one from a few feet back so we can see the whole sofa(s) and a 2nd photo a little closer to try and show the fault (If Possible, if not please take one anyway as the manufactures always ask)
Even More Important: The batch number(s) of each faulty item(s) these are located usually on a white label either under the sofa(s) or under the footrests or under the seat cushions if a hand made fabric sofa from our Royal English Collection.

What happens Next
Once we receive this information it is passed onto the manufactures and you will be contacted within 28 days. The manufacturers may decide to send a technician to your home to have a look and hopefully fix the issue, if the technician deems the fault un-fixable or not a manufactures fault they will complete a report and send it to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will then inform us if they are sending a replacement part and any course of action they deem acceptable. (replacement part’s can take up to 16 weeks to arrive) we will keep you informed as and when the manufactures contact us and once any replacement parts arrive you will be contacted to arrange for the technician to re visit your home to repair the fault. Occasionally we will collect the sofa for repair which can take up to 28 days to return back to you. As responsible retailers we would hope all issues are resolved within 90 days from the original e mail, if you feel the fault is a danger then please do not use the sofas or do what ever you feel necessary to make them safe.
