can The Sofa King sell brand-name sofas at so much less than they
originally cost from the catalogue company?
Simple,
as long as the catalogue companies and manufacturers keep selling so
many sofas and as long as their returns policy doesn't change, we
will keep buying them in bulk and selling them at knock down
prices.
Why should I
buy my furniture from The Sofa King and can I trust the
company?
Firstly, with regards to
trust, we pride ourselves on trust and unlike many internet sites
that are run from someone's garage, The Sofas King is a successful
high street shop with a large warehouse. So, in the unlikely event
of a problem, you can come and see us face-to-face. We are not just
an e-mail address. The main reason we have sold so many sofas is
that you cannot buy such quality furniture at such incredibly low
prices and have it delivered so quickly. We are also small enough to
care, but big enough to cope.
Can I pick up my furniture to save the
delivery cost?
Yes just fill in the
form and do not tick the box for delivery. Please note that your
furniture must be collected within 14 days of payment. Once we
receive your order we will contact you to discuss a suitable day for
pick-up (normally Monday to Saturday 10am to 4pm) That way we can
have your order ready for you at our
Northampton
warehouse. We will need
24 hours notice and full payment must have been received before you
can collect your furniture.
Can I come and see the furniture I want
to buy before I commit and buy on
line?
Yes, we encourage this; you are
welcome to view the furniture prior to buying it. But please bear in
mind you may miss out if someone else buys it before
you.
Can I save
any money if I buy from your high street shop rather than on
line?
No, the shop prices are the same
as the web site prices, but your delivery may be quicker, as when
any items are sold from the shop, delivery is booked on
payment.
Why don't
you publish the original retail prices of the sofas so I can see how
much money I am saving?
The catalogue
companies change their prices very often and they have sales
themselves. This makes it difficult for us to confirm the retail
prices. Most of our furniture can be seen in the catalogues or on
the catalogue companies“ web sites, so you can compare the prices
yourselves. In many cases our prices are 50%
lower.
Can the sofa
king buy my old suite, part-exchange it or just take it
away?
We are sorry but our drivers
deliver a lot of sofas every day and don't have the time or the
space to take away your old suite. We are also unable to offer
part-exchanges and buy sofas from the public.
What happens if the delivery men can't
get the sofa though my front door?
You
will receive your money back minus the delivery charge and a £10
administration charge. So please make sure you measure up before you
make your order. Please refer to the terms and conditions
page.
Does The Sofa
King offer a guarantee on their
sofas?
We cannot offer a
manufacturer's guarantee; if you want a full one-year guarantee then
you must buy the furniture at the full price from the catalogue
company. We buy these sofas at such a discounted price we do not
have the right to manufacturer's guarantee. We do however offer a
standard 7-day structural guarantee. Please refer to the terms and

How do I pay for my
furniture?
We accept Paypal or you can
visit us in our shop

Will you confirm my
order?
When your order has been received
and processed an order acknowledgement screen will be generated.
Please print this out and keep it for your personal records. We will
also send you an e-mail confirming your order.
Can I get a VAT
receipt?
We will send you a VAT
receipt once the 7-day guarantee has expired. In order to receive a
VAT receipt, please email us after the 7-day period with your
invoice number.
How
soon will my sofa be delivered and how much does it
cost?
At
the moment we deliver to
Northampton
and surrounding areas.
Just type your post code into the delivery section's box and it will
say how much it will cost to have your furniture delivered. Once
your order has been placed you will be contacted by a customer
service representative within 48 hours of the order to arrange
delivery. We will offer you a delivery day within 7 working
days of your order. Your delivery time will be between
8am and
7pm, Monday
to Saturday. We regret we cannot offer a preferred date or
time. You must ensure that someone over 18 years old is available on
the delivery date to check and sign for your new
furniture.
Do your prices change during the
year?
The Sofa King reserves the right
to change its prices at anytime, but obviously not once someone has
paid for an item.
